A Haiku
I’ve decided to do poetry writing prompts a few days a week to force myself to write even when I don’t have the motivation. Today, the prompt was, a recent dream.
I frequently write down dreams that were very vibrant or emotional. I went through them and was reminded of a dream where a bear was chasing me. I decided to stand in front of him, make myself big and loud, and not run. I felt strong and scared at the same time but knew that if I didn’t, I would die. It worked and the bear turned around and left.
I later looked up what a bear in your dream symbolized and got so many different interpretations, but mostly saw escaping and avoidance come up multiple times.
What I took from it; problems come and are frightening. They can seem huge and unbeatable but stand your ground, use what you’ve been taught, face them head on, and you can win.
Enjoy my haiku:
Problems chasing me
running from fear no more. Come.
I’ll face you. I’ll win.
