Get in the car and drive.
I was hanging on to the outside of my friend’s car, leaning through an open window. I had skates on my feet. I glided around the turns as they drove slowly to our destination. I could see my friend and her husband eyeing each other, their conversation in their facial expressions, neither said a word to me.
They continued to drive and I continued to hold on.
I looked in the backseat and saw a space between their youngest children. There were items there but there was room. I pulled myself further inside and saw an entire 3rd row folded down with just a jacket in the very back. At that moment, I paused and asked them to pull over so that I could get in the car and squeeze in between the boys. Without complaint, they stopped and let me in. I adjusted the area, sat down, and woke up from my dream.
I got it. I didn’t have to google “ what does this dream mean”. I knew.
I knew I was riding in the window because I didn’t want to upset them by making them stop the car.
I knew that conflict scared me and my dream was saying, “Open your mouth and make known your needs. Stop being a people pleaser. Start making your needs a priority.”
