Member-only story
We wake.
We prepare to go our separate ways in the world.
I meditate.
You clean never ending crumbs from counter tops
while rushing out the door.
I build cities with blocks and read stories about imaginary lands.
You navigate the corporate world, mask on and off all day.
Dinner prepared, all kids accounted for
We breathe.
I recount my day of frustrations and joys.
You narrate yours.
I listen.
We lie in bed together
defiantly driving the outside world out of our four walls.
We sleep.
We wake.
We love.
